    This level is designed for non-native Chinese speakers and is suitable for complete beginners and elementary level students.

    Exploring Chinese Cultureis an ideal online course for non-native Chinese speakers who are interested in Chinese culture and want to gain a deep understanding of the phenomena behind it. It will lead you into the fascinating treasure-house of Chinese culture to explore its magic and profoundness. It includes a total of 45 units, each focusing on a cultural topic with a wide coverage of information and a video lasting for about 6 minutes. From the cultural topics, the learners will have access to the customs and phenomena with very strong Chinese features, which will guide the learners with further knowledge in the aspects of Chinese history, geography, folk customs and etc. The videos are produced inChinese dubbing and English subtitles, which can be accepted by the learners in an easier way. In addition,the course is presented in various forms, such as live shooting, recurrence of scenes, narration of anchorpersons, and demonstration of cartoons, etc. Various cultural phenomena which are hard to be expressed in words are presented through vivid images. Chinese words and sentences related to the topic of the unit are taught at the end of each unit to help students learn Chinese language while understanding the culture.

    This level is designed for non-native Chinese speakers and is suitable for students who have completed level 1, and for those who can understand and use basic Chinese words and phrases.

    This unit is designed for non-native Chinese speakers, especially for those who are new in China. It covers basic phrases used in daily life.

  • Traveling

    This unit is designed for non-native Chinese speakers and is suitable for business travelers and general tourists.

  • Buying Things and Bargaining

    This unit is designed for non-native Chinese speakers. It covers useful phrases used in buying things and bargaining.

  • Ordering and Eating

    This unit isdesigned for non-native Chinese speakers. It covers useful phrases used in ordering and eating.

  • Asking the Way and Transportation

    This unit is designed for non-native Chinese speakers; it covers useful phrases used in asking the way, checking the weather, taking taxi, etc.

  • Coping with Problems

    This unit is designed for non-native Chinese speakers; it covers useful phrases used in coping with real-life problems, such as changing rooms and reporting a repair, sending a fax, etc.

  • Getting Sick and Seeing Doctor

    This unit is designed for non-native Chinese speakers; it covers useful expressions used in seeing the doctor, getting medicine and asking for leave.

  • Leisure Time

    This unit is designed for non-native Chinese speakers; it offers useful phrases related to emotional expression.

  • Level 4 - 基础级 Ⅱ Waystage Ⅱ

    This level is designed for non-native Chinese speakers and is suitable for students who have completed level 3, and for those who can use basic Chinese for daily communication or the former learners who attempt to comprehensively review the knowledge.

  • Level 5 - 进阶级 Ⅰ Threshold Ⅰ

    This level is designed for non-native Chinese speakers and is suitable for students who have completed level 4, and for those who attempt to enrich vocabulary and be familiar with grammar or want to sharpen their language skills.

  • Level 6 - 进阶级 Ⅱ Threshold Ⅱ

    This level is designed for non-native Chinese speakers and is suitable for students who have completed level 5. Level 6 helps those who can communicate in fluent Chinese to deal with unexpected situation in China, and improves their Chinese language skills further to express their ideas freely.
